We are looking for a Research Assistant to support molecular cloning, ELISA-based assay development, phage and yeast display screening, and protein–protein interaction studies.
The role is suitable for recent MSc graduates or BSc-qualified candidates with substantial relevant laboratory experience. Training will be provided in specialized methods.
Role Overview
Perform molecular cloning, including PCR, plasmid construction, transformation and sequence verification
Support ELISA-based assay development and screening
Assist with phage and yeast display screening workflows
Support protein–protein interaction studies and basic protein characterization
Maintain accurate experimental records, sample tracking and raw data
Contribute to troubleshooting, data analysis and project discussions
Required qualifications
MSc in molecular biology, biotechnology, biochemistry or a related field, or a relevant BSc with substantial hands-on experience
Practical laboratory experience from research, thesis work, an internship or industry
Basic experience with molecular cloning and plate-based assays such as ELISA
Well-organized approach to laboratory work and reliability
Ability to communicate results clearly and work effectively in a team
Motivation to learn new techniques and to take on responsibility
Preferred qualification
Experience with ELISA development or optimization
Familiarity with phage display, yeast display or library screening
Familiarity with protein–protein interaction assays
Experience with sequencing data, clone screening or NGS datasets
Cell biology or mammalian cell-culture experience is an advantage but is not required
